29-year-old KL Rahul is one of three players chosen by the yet-to-be-named Lucknow franchise, and he will also captain the Lucknow Franchise in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. Marcus Stoinis, the Australian all-rounder, and Ravi Bishnoi, an uncapped leg spinner, are the other two candidates.
“Rahul will captain Lucknow. The team is deciding on the other two draft picks,” an IPL source told PTI.
Rahul started his IPL career in 2013 with Royal Challengers Bangalore, then he went to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2014 and then came back to Royal Challengers in 2016 before the Punjab franchise paid 11 crores to buy Rahul in the 2018 IPL auction.
